Wed, May 4 3:05 pm EDT R. Halladay vs. E. Bedard

Nice win last night for the Jays, Gustavo silenced the top offense in baseball, and the bullpen really came up huge when needed. Orioles did not get a hit in the last 6 innings.

Jays won even with Shea going 0-for.

Lets hope Towers can keep the runs scored down enough to let the Jays win.

Us O's fans are very familiar with Towers having come through this org, that said, I wish him the best of luck, but not tonight!

The Jays cooled us off last night, we need to follow up with a win tonight and tomorrow to take this series and get back on track.

That was our first look at Chacin, I was expecting a tough game, we have struggled with leftys and particulary, leftys who change speeds well. The game was not televised in Baltimore so we missed out. Daniel Cabrera takes the mound tonight after 10 days rest, the last time he waited that long he came out wild as an irish rose. It will be interesting to see how he responds, he needs to get it going and I couldn't pick a better night than tonight.

Just a couple of odds and ends about my history with the Blue Jays. My very first game was in 1985, unless a 2 year old at the ALCS in 79' counts.
Dave Steib versus Mike Flanagan on that day, we won that one. Okay now the bad memories, there are plenty over the years but the final weekend in 1989 with the "Why Not" O's falling short of completing thier last to first trek that year. Late 80's and early 90's were filled with SkyDome sellouts and sound beatings of my O's. Also a high school buddy of mine was drafted by the Jays in 96'.

We should see the regular O's lineup tonight facing the right handed Towers.

    Let's git' r done!

I'm surprised the O's have had trouble with lefties, given that the heart of their order all bat from the right side.

You gotta hand it to Toronto. They could have faded, but they picked themselves up with a sweep of TB, two out of three against the Yankees, and now win two in a row against the hottest team in baseball.

    Well done.

Heartbreaking losses for the O's, last nights game was downright disgusting to watch.
Cabrera had a nice curveball going nad good movement on his fastball last night and a career high in strikeouts, however 2 walks and an infield hit in the 8th inning led to the downfall, neither team could hit worth a damn last night.

Towers was getting the outside corner on the rightys all night and pitched a heck of a game.

Halladay and Bedard on the hill today, the O's have got to win today or that amazing start could be a distant memory.

Why is today's game at 3:05 pm? Guess I'll watch it since I'm not working today.
