Well im going to give some props to gibbons. Good call having Hilley & Rios pinch hit there in the 8th, even though anyone fan with little knowledge of the game could have made it.

Jeez Wonder whos going into the rotation now? Who replaces gustavo chacin!?!?!?! Come on Gibby pull a rabbit out of your hat.

Gibbons relies too much on the lefty on lefty, righty on righty matchup.

Jun 13 Jordan Bastian, of Toronto.BlueJays.MLB.com, reports Toronto Blue Jays 3B Troy Glaus could start at short stop when interleague play begins again Saturday, June 17. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said he would like to get more offense in the lineup and he might move Glaus over to short stop and put DH Shea Hillenbrand at third base. If that happens, Gibbons said 2B Russ Adams would start at second base when a right-handed pitcher is on the mound, while SS Aaron Hill would be in the lineup to face left-handers.

Wow that is so stupid. Hill might be our hottest hitter since mid may and hes going to take him out of the lineup for his stupid lefty righty matchups.

Now you know how I felt back in the four game series at Camden Yards, when Perlozzo pulled Patterson, the red hot hitter and basestealer, to play a matchup, and he put in the ice cold Conine. Many coaches believe in these matchups, and to a degree, they work. However, when someone is blazing hot, you don't take them out of a position to start. Never.

Yeah I hate it when managers do stupid shit like that. I could see if he was pulling a hot hitter for a bonafide slugger like pujols but thats usually not the case.

Watch him pull Halladay next inning with only 81 pitches thrown so far.

Gibbons is so stupid! Why does he still have Mottola up on the team. Tell me John Ford Griffin wouldnt be better or someone else. Mottola looks lost in the field...

And why play this guy while we are in the brunt of the playoff race.

    its easy
Mottola is a RHB, Hinske and Cat are already LHB the jays don't need more LHB like Griffin (who terrible defensively btw), with Rios missing Mottola can stepp in against left handed pitcher while Cat or Hinske can't.

Lol Mottola cant do shit though! Numerous runs were scored off of his shitty fielding last night. Cattalanato is a better fielder then Mottola and thats not saying much. Who cares about Right lefty matchups when you are going against a 43 year old southpaw that throws 82 mph fastballs.

Mottola was going to play Wells was hurt and if he wasn't he would play anyway, Mottola did very well against Moyer almost 2 week ago, went 2 for 4 with a double and Mottola is a journeymen its better throwing a rookie who terrible defensively that a left handed hitter or Cat or Hinske who can't hit lefties and have their own problems defensively be it their arm or range/timing, Gibbons made the right choice.

Moyer may be old but don't take him lightly

and you can't blame Gibbons for bring up Mottola, thats JP job.

this won't matter by the weekend cuz I heard Rios is coming back as a early as Saturday.

He never seems to do anything outside the norm. Everything is strictly by the book. We need Whitt to take over, play some hunches, stir the pot.

Go ahead and defend Gibbons all you want.
