    Ted Lilly's mean

How come he owns the Sox every. single. time., yet does this against the Yankees? WHY!!!!

Ted Lilly surrendered two runs in five innings Wednesday in a loss to the Yankees.
Lilly had both a run added to his line and a run taken away by blown calls. With the bases loaded and two outs in the fourth, Derek Jeter grounded to short. Russ Adams flipped the ball to Aaron Hill for what should have been an easy out, but Hill dropped the ball and clearly never had it in the first place. Despite that, an out was called on the play. In the fifth, the Yankees again threatened, putting men on first and second with two outs. Robinson Cano then singled to left. Hideki Matsui stopped at third on the play, but Jorge Posada rounded second and kept going. The Blue Jays handled the cutoff badly and let Posada get into a rundown. Though he was tagged out before Matsui raced home on the play, the call was blown again and the Yankees were credited with a run. Poor infield defense from Toronto also came into play on the Yankees' third run of the game, as a better third baseman than Troy Glaus likely would have handled Jorge Posada's RBI single through the left side.

OK, he wasn't bad, 2 runs over 5 innings, Dinardo-esque, but they lost, and that's all that matter. Fvcking Lilly
