    Yankees need to relieve themselves of...

    CP Mariano Rivera - 4.5 stars - $10.5 million (want a younger closer with developing talent)

    3B Mike Lowell - 2.5 stars - $9 million (want a spec)

    SP Carl Pavano - 3 stars - $9.6 million (want a younger, but similar SP)

    C Jorge Posada - 3.5 stars - $9 million (FA after this season. Want younger C with pretty good talent ratings)
