    2026 Predictions

    And my 2026 predictions

    AL East
    1. Toronto
    2. New York (WC)
    3. Tampa Bay
    4. Baltimore
    5. Boston

Toronto did lose their stud closer to Detroit but their offense too powerful to finish worse than 2nd. New York has improved but their offense is unproven and their pitching is thin. Tampa Bay did a great job in FA but they are three pitchers short of competing with the Yanks and Jays. Baltimore and Boston are still rebuilding. Guizar (BOS) has the makings of being ARod in Texas.

    AL Central
    1. Detroit
    2. Chicago
    3. Cleveland
    4. Minnesota
    5. Kansas City

Detroit is the class of the AL Central. Their bullpen and offense will carry that team. Chicago has a good offense are looking to get younger while competing., You almost compare them to the Spurs or Celtics with their philosophies. Cleveland are average on offense and in their bullpen. The Indians have potentially the best 1-2-3 rotation. Minnesota have to repair their depth to have a shot. Kansas City is in full rebuild mode.

    AL West
    1. Seattle
    2. Oakland
    3. Texas
    4. Anaheim

Seattle has 3 time Cy Young Winner Thomas Bonney and a decent offense. The rotation is good and the bullpen has a ton of questions marks. Oakland has the young guns to make things interesting. Texas has a good offense but lacks depth on pitching. Anaheim lost Joel Ibanez and seem to be on the down turn. All 4 teams have WC potential at the very least.

    Playoffs:
    Detroit over Toronto in 6
Seattle over New York in 6

    AL Championship
    Detroit over Seattle in 6

    AL MVP: Michael Thornton, TOR
    AL CY: Thomas Bonney, SEA
AL ROY: N/A (I don't know who will be eligible to play)

NL will be done Monday Morning.
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)

TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
    TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)

    AL East
Toronto also traded arguably the best hitter in the league to St. Louis. I do think Toronto/New York/Tampa Bay are the 3 teams in the mix, but I think TB will finish ahead of one, if not both, of them.

    AL Central
I think Cleveland has the possibility of finishing ahead of Chicago, but either way Detroit should prevail. Minnesota may surprise some people.

    AL West
Flip 4 coins. I don't think any team really stands out vs. the other 3. They all have some decent pieces and some question marks. No way does the Wild Card come from here.

    AL Champ
Detroit is the obvious choice, but you never know. I think a sleeper will pull off the upset.

    Re: 2026 Predictions

    NL East
    1. Phily
    2. Washington
    3. Miami
    4. NY Mets
    99. Atlanta

Philly has great balance with their offense and pitching. If they do slip up, it could be because of their middle relievers. Washington for now will be the favorite to finish 2nd. Their depth has been depleted but they got a dynamic 1-2 in Abernathy and McCullen. Miami is a team on the rise and could finish 2nd if they put things together. The Mets need bullpen help and depth on offense. Atlanta couldn't win the Big Sky conference.

    NL Central
    1. St Louis
    2. Pittsburgh (WC)
    3. Cincinnati
    4. Chicago (N)
    5. Houston

St Louis is the class of the NL, clearly. All they did was go for the kill with Leif. Pittsburgh and Cincy could win the AL East if given the chance. Chicago and Houston are in rebuilding mode. Give Cincy and Pitts a year or two to see if they stick around.

    NL West
    1. San Diego
    2. Arizona
    3. Colorado
    4. San Francisco

San Diego has all the pitching in the world to send at opposing teams. Can their offense be good enough to stop St Louis? Arizona has the offense to make some noise, but they need 8 pitchers to be playoff contender. Colorado and San Francisco are making strides with their draft selections but are years away from being competitive.

    Playoffs
St Louis over Philly in 6
San Diego over Pittsburgh in 5

St Louis over San Diego in 7

NL Cy Young: Lefty Grove Jr (STL)
    NL MVP: Leif Schauer (STL)
    NL RoY: Same as AL.

World Series: St Louis over Detroit in 6.
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)

TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
    TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)

    Re: 2026 Predictions

I think I'll do some damage, maybe, with my offense. I don't have the starting pitching to have a dominant year and thus I could easily be picked off in the first round.

Or I'll not even make the playoffs. That'll be fun.

We won 13 in a row at one point only to lose the winning streak to the Braves. This season is already a failure.

If you can't beat Houston, it counts as two games.
