This will be added to the Rules but I wanted to make a seperate post to make sure everyone sees it

When it comes to trading Future Draft Picks we want to clarify the rules

If you trade a Future Draft pick

1) It loses all protection (so if its a top 10 pick its still moved)
2) If you are not normally protected (11th pick or worse) You are not eligible to offer Class A FAs... this is because you don't have a 1st rounder to give up as comp

We will have 5 rounds of FA next year
Teams without a 1st round pick Will be able to offer to Type A's in Round 5 (They will give up a 2nd rounder if signed)

Examples:

A)
ATL Trades 2013 pick to MIN

ATL finishes season in playoffs and gets #23 pick
MIN recieves #23 pick in draft
ATL not eligible to offer to Type A's til round 5

B)
ATL trades 2013 pick to MIN

ATL implodes and finishes with #9 pick
MIN recieves #9 pick in 2013 draft
ATL can offer Type A FA's

If you got any questions or concerns post them here, this will be added to the rules in 4 days and the thread closed.
