Question Random Question for a Random Length of Time

I was just curious...is there anything you people would like to see in this league? anything new? anything done differently? whatever?

Before anyone mentions the draft, I've already explained that it won't be beefed up every year and that it really won't be for a few seasons as there really is too much talent in the league right now.

Also, this is just for discussion. I want to see what you guys think. I can't guarantee that any ideas will be put into action, but go ahead and tell me what you think.

I would like to see my team play to their potential, even when we suck. Looks at Thorton and Galaz....

But seriously, I like the way this is run. I can't think of anything needing of change.

well, almost every team has at least sent FA offers or changes this season. There's not much I can do about that. And I pretty much despise those "participation reward" things because usually only the active people end up participating.

Wouldn't change a thing. The league is run efficiently.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

care to elaborate on the realignment? specifically, what would you do? or what would like to see done?

Change around each division, have some fun with it. Obviously keep the 5-5-4 in each league but you know, maybe swap out teams for teams. Say Arizona, Pittsburgh, Florida go to the AL and Oakland, Baltimore, and Detroit go to the NL (I just randomly picked teams) for example. Could be completely changing every division, or a little tweaking. Maybe some al teams want to try out the nl and vice versa. I don't know. Something amusing.

Re: Random Question for a Random Length of Time

I guess I could put all the team names on a piece of paper, toss 'em in a hat, and draw them at random. It's such a pain in the ass renaming/renumbering all of the files though to correspond to the right team. It's very tedious.

it's only been 45 games...all of the NL Central teams will not keep up the pace and weird stuff like that happens year to year. Early last season or the season before only 4 teams in the NL were over .500 and it didn't finish that way.

There is no way to have 2 Wild Card teams in the sense that the 2 best teams that don't win the division would make the playoffs. The settings for 2 divisions result in only the division winners making it or the top 2 teams from each division. Theoretically, a team that finishes 3rd could be better than the 2nd place team in the other division, but the 2nd place team would make it. That's never going to be perfect. Obviously, if the season ended now, then a team below .500 would make it. It won't end up that way.

I don't like the complete realignment idea.

    I prefer to grow rivalries.

Ya eventually I wouldn't mind seeing your realignment idea come into effect. Could be cool to shake things up with the ol NL & AL East and West.

No no no, you have it completely wrong. I'm not talking random shit out of a hat. That's lame. With that, you could easily end up with a division full of 4-5 retards.
