you don't think people would complain about how I arbitrarily picked teams then?

People would complain if you simmed 30 seconds later than you said you simmed. You'll never avoid that, unfortunately.

You can always try seeing if anyone wants to move or wouldn't care if they had a new change of division scenery, right? Maybe people do, maybe they don't, who knows.

In the end it's you who makes the changes, sims, uploads, etc., thus whatever changes you want to run with or try or anything you'd ever want to do, it should be your call. This isn't a radical league and I don't expect radical changes, and I didn't really mean completely changing the entire division alignment. If it's only 2 teams that switch, hey, that's cool. Doesn't even have to be al and nl swapping ya know.

yea, I hear ya...the annoying thing is that even if it's only 2 teams, a lot of files need to be renamed. I had to rename team files for only 5 or 6 teams with contraction (because 1 was NL Central and 1 was NL West) and it was somewhat long. It's doable and who knows, maybe the game would do it automatically if it was just a switch. Maybe I only had to do it manually because I eliminated 2 teams. I could always test that out.

I personally don't care what division I'm in or who's in my division... as long as I'm in the AL ;]

I never said I was going to do anything; this was mainly for discussion. I want to hear ideas, but as I said in my first post: it doesn't necessarily mean they'll be introduced.

Mofo doesn't really bring anything to the table to begin with, put him in a division with a bunch of douchebags.

One thing I'd like to see is if we can put the rankings out of 1-100 on the site instead of the ones from 1-10.

So I know if I guy I'm trading for has a 70 or a 79, for example, in whatever category.

ah, but that's part of the challenge and fun of it all...I think 1 - 10 keeps things simple as well.

Re: Random Question for a Random Length of Time

I don't see it as challenge and fun as much as just random. Drafting or signing players is one thing when they rank them overall and then list each category ranking, you can figure out with 8-8-8 pitcher has the higher 8's. But when you're looking through your own or someone else's roster for a trade, you have no idea.

More information is never a bad thing, IMO.

Re: Random Question for a Random Length of Time

seems like you just want to take some of the risk out of trading...

oh, and your own players are listed by their ratings under "ratings report". It will rank them based on their current ratings. The 2nd part of the report shows their talent, but it's not ranked the same way.
