I'd rather have computer managed teams than to contract.

they were briefly on CPU that year during the FA period...HOU and MIL were...maybe one other team?

all auto manage does is make the lineups, depth charts, rotations, and minor league stuff. It doesn't do DL, extensions, FA, cuts, etc.

Contraction draft. What the hell, add a little kick to the league. Wouldn't hurt.

I think I concur...though I think I'd make the MLB players free agents and just do a draft for the good prospects (3.0 and above while releasing the rest).

We have 3 open teams if you count the Dodgers and would only need 1 more team to do it. That would get us down to 26, but I really wouldn't mind getting down to 24 to be honest.

A contraction draft might do wonders for my shitty team if I play my cards right.

On the flip side, I think I'd have a better feeling if I dig the Padres out of the gutter without the aid of a contraction draft.

Contraction is fine by me, maybe only 2 teams though instead of 4?

Re: Time to vote about the future of the league

if it were 2, then it'd be the Dodgers and Brewers because it'd have to be from the same league otherwise it would be uneven. I'd still have 1 open team and a few that aren't very active...

Re: Time to vote about the future of the league

I think we should start with 2 teams and then contract further if we can't fill them. Sucks that we can't find some more active GMs, this league is fun.

I wouldn't mind monitoring the DL, arby cuts, and extensions for an open team, if the CPU takes care of the lineups and minor leagues.

it looks like I'm going to try the contraction route at this point...there's been a discussion about it in the check-in thread.
