Thread: Final 2008 Draft Comments Thread

Re: Final 2008 Draft Comments Thread

I've decided I don't like picking second to last. Next time I'll tank the season so I get a more exciting draft slot. Don't get me wrong. I targeted SS as a position of interest due to a lack of depth in the minors and my major leaguer already being 30, and I'm more than happy to pull a SS with peak range capability and a solid arm and plus offense in Luker. But dang, man, I was really hoping to see a couple guys slip a bit farther so I could snatch them up and probably still pull Luker in the second round.

Oh well. Next time I'll know not to play so awesomely in the first few weeks of the season.

Except the next draft is going to be based off 2008's standings, not the first few months of 2009.

I love the 3rd round pick, MR 9-8-7 talent, 4-6-5 actuals, 70% GB, only 17 years old, possible closer with a movement boost

2nd round pick is not that great for my system, got two young 2B's but it's still a very good pick for a late 2nd round

Don't be pulling your fancy technicalities on me.

Oh, the burden of kicking too much butt. Guess I'll just have to learn the art of the trade. Anyone interested in a couple kids with the potential of topping out as AA bench players? Anyone?

Why didn't you send in a draft list?

I'll have to wait until I get home to see my other picks because Crazy's "personal pages" are blocked at work...damn you and your "personal pages" Crazy! Seriously, that's the only league site that gets blocked at my work.

I am really pleased with my pick as CF is a huge need for the future of my team.
