don't worry guys, we'll help you all out
6.5 is head and shoulders above all other OOTP games to me. If you can find a good roster set for this one, it might be worth a shot, but I absolutely love 6.5, you can never go wrong with that.
Clayton Kershaw and Jose Reyes
Not a bad first two picks
It seems like the popular vote is for 6.5(What ever the hell that is). With this much support 6.5 should run for President, it just might have a chance. :)
heh, I told you that from what I read OOTP 8.0 wasn't very online league friendly...I'm not saying I told you so, just saying this confirms what I've read. I thought the ratings were low and such, but it's like that across the board so maybe it'll work. We can always give it a shot and see what happens.
Here is a 2008 online league that is 2 seasons or so into it... if anyone wants to look at it and compare to TPSL or S3SL etc...

I just read some of the rules and I understand the set-up of Promoting/Demoting players and setting rotation and bullpen and lineups, but the trades with the Salaries and rating I don't really have a full grasp on.
The ratings just seem to be lower in general in 8. like an 8 in OOTP6.5 is equal to more of a 6 or 7 in OOTP8. I'm down with either one, but I think OOTP 6.5 is a more comfortable atmosphere.
Oh and Turn 2, you would not be losing David Wright, unless we changed systems. The 1-10 and 1-20 discussion was based on rating talent in the league.
I think we should go to 6.5 as well. It doesn't make sense adjusting to ratings that no other league on this forum uses. It will just be too confusing.
I'm really leaning towards 6.5, I think it would be easier for those that are new to OOTP too.
