Oswalt is the only wow for me...Coria got similar money to Golson. I'm not surprised by that. Coria is the only high CPU contract that was signed. I'm also not surprised at the catcher. You were the only person to offer to Lee...now that's a wow

I figured I wouldn't get Oswalt, but still pissed about it.

I'm more pissed that a 35 year old got 3yrs/28 mill.

**** that. And what's worse, that's not a freakin' cpu team.

It makes the deal I signed him to look like a steal.

San Diego has gone insane! $10.5 million per for 3 years with MR, Lidge who's 36 years young. Now $28 million for 3 years to a 35 year old SP? $64 million that could have been better spent.

IIRC General offered the same length at either $22 or $25 mil.

I'm actually very happy with my Martinez deal...5 years ar $14.3 to me isn't really overpaying for a guy who I can instantly stick into the middle of my lineup...if he performs up to his ratings, look out.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Yeah you got a pretty good value on him, if I needed a C/DH/1B I would've offered something similar on Martinez. A 5 year deal on a 33 y/o catcher is a lot, but you should get good production out of him for the first few years of that deal. Plus, that nickname has gotta be worth a couple mill a year itself!
