Isn't it illegal to trade Aybar?
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

That's a fair point, I guess, but seeing as it's legal...

Aybar is still a pretty good player as is Jimenez. The second round pick will be OK, Vasely is a bench player/bottom of the order hitter at best, Francis is crap. I don't know if it's enough for Haren. I'm gonna say no.

technically, it's not illegal. it's just another guy trying to dump his crappy financial situation on another team. I don't like this deal. Fail. And there's no way of knowing whether or not he'd have enough "cash" for the next 5 years...

OK, is it Brownie or Witlon that tells people how and why their deal failed? I forget at the moment...whoever it is, please PM the 2 of them and let them know.

So do you still need me to send an explanation to both teams? I haven't sent it yet, but here it is, in my and Prov's words:

The TC rejected the trade on grounds of the uncertainty of whether Detroit will have $5.6 mil in cash available each year...he probably would, but there's no way to tell. And if it passed and then come the 3rd or 4th year he didn't have the money, then Prov will have to "cheat" and edit it without doppel actually giving up the money. Plus, it didn't sit well with the TC members that Detroit is getting out of a recently signed long-term contract in exchange for an elite starting pitcher.
    Suggestions?
