Giants SF Gaints Block (Catcher Needed)

mike barrett is out for the year, and my outfield depth is horrid...

atop my list of needs is a backup catcher, but it's not urgent. I'd like someone who can hit respectively enough, but I'm mainly looking for a defensive minded backup in this case.

Also on my radar is a nice 4th outfielder.

And last, but not least... a middle reliever. A closer would be great, but for what it'd cost to acquire a bummy one, let alone a stud, I doubt I'm going to pay it. So unless your team grooms closers and has one cheap to give to me, don't bother making an offer. I'm just looking for a MR who can provide depth to a team that needs one more to fill out the 12th pitcher on their roster.

    Chris Snyder or Todd Coffey?
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Jeff Clement? Contact rating isn't that good(6 across the board) but good power ratings. Range of 8, and 7 throwing arm.

Most of my OF and one of the catching duo can be had...

Not superbly cheap, but a decent return value.

SD has bullpen depth and catchers, would be willing to deal an outfielder for the right price as well.

Bryan Moser, Dennis Meeks, and Rickie Weeks...

Looking for a frontline starter. Or two.

If the salaries work, and he makes as little as Meeks and Moser (or both of them, should I be trading both) or just a little more, I'll do a straight up one-for-one or two-for-something swap.

However, if the pitcher makes more, and I can't handle it due to my budget (I can only take on at the moment $2,670,053) you will have acquire Rickie Weeks with Meeks or Moser (or both, depending on what I'm getting)... who isn't exactly a bum (3.0 overall with very nice ratings), but just hasn't lived up to his ratings really.

    Inquire inside or PM.

    Oh yeah, links:

#49 Dennis "Haystack" Meeks, Rightfield, 22 yrs, San Francisco Giants - Out of the Park Baseball Report
#65 Bryan Moser, Third Base, 25 yrs, San Francisco Giants - Out of the Park Baseball Report
#23 Rickie Weeks, Second Base, 30 yrs, San Francisco Giants - Out of the Park Baseball Report

(for the lazy, Meeks is 10-7-9-9-9 talent, former ROTY winner, and only 22 and still developing, but ready to step into an MLB line-up right now... Moser is probably best fitted as a platoon hitter, but he's a beastly one at that, and if you don't mind a sacrifice in his average, you can play him versus left-handed pitchers and he'll give you about 5-10 more home runs per year as it's not his power that's suspect from the opposite side of the plate. Weeks is all around solid ratings-wise, with blazing fast speed. 8-9-8-6-6 or something with 8-8-9 I think and a decent glove for 2B.
