Career Ending Injury Poll

OK, I'm not a huge fan of career enders if they happen to specs or young guys. I know it's part of the game, but I don't like it. I'm opening a poll to see if people would agree to the following:

Vote yes if you're in favor of allowing each team the option of changing 1 career ending injury to a season ending injury (can only be used once per season, no carryover to the next season if you don't use it)

Vote no if you say "tough nuts. It's part of the game."

The poll will close in 5 days so vote or forever hold your peace.

edit: This will need 75% or higher to pass and at least 2/3's of the league needs to vote for it to pass. I don't want to pass something if it's 55% vs. 45% or something and I don't want to pass something with 10 people voting...it should be an overwhelming majority. I will not be voting. It should be what you guys want, not me in this case.

What incident has brought this about?
I engineered a rule for someone with multiple significant career enders in a season a couple of.. seasons ago. Which makes sense to me because for career enders to hit good players more than once, if even that.. once, is rare enough.

I really don't like anything much past that, so I'm going to have to vote no if a team loses one guy. It happens and I know it really sucks.

I voted no. Career enders should not be changed like that, it takes away part of the random/luck draw of OOTP.

I like it when players under 30 have season enders changed to career.

I voted no, I don't like this one bit really, maybe if there was 2 or more career enders and you bring one back as a season enders and the GM has their choice of which one to bring back then ok, but one per season is crazy.

i'm voting no, as well. it's one of those things that absolutely sucks when/if it happens to you, and would make you strongly vote "yes" to a poll like this... fortunately, it hasn't yet happened to me, so i'm not too bitter about career enders. as zito said, it adds a lot to the reality-based luck of the draw that a prospect can be.

I really think it's too frequent, maybe once every five years...or more stipulations, like they have to be under 28 and it has to be their first injury...but no ammendments, I'm not in favor.

I sort of like how Mission handled it with Seattle (I think it was). When 2 super spects got hurt and he then opened it up for the league to vote. They (career enders), from my time with OOTP in these leagues, really dont happen enough to really give merit to 1 per year even to scrubs, maybe 1 every 2 calender seasons?

^some good ideas by Dry. i'd be in favor of it if the proposal was a bit more strict. and as Slyder said, one amendment per season pretty much eliminates career enders altogether, considering how infrequent they are.

I voted yes.

Hate career enders... 35+ if they get a career ender, they're out for their career. Anything under 35, out for the season. That's my take on it.

They get hurt move on. I have lost my share like we all have. I remember moving Liriano to general and he went down a couple sims later for his career. It is part of the game fellas.

no, you won't. If there's a tie, then it won't pass even if you voted one way or the other. Vote or forever hold your peace bro. I said it needs more than 75% with at least 2/3's of the league voting (read the 1st post). Right now this is not passing.
