Oh ok, thought it was just a majority of the league. Could we tighten it up a bit? IE once every 3 or so years? Career enders happen so little that people would be using them to save some scrub just to use it every year.

If it passes, which it looks like it won't at this point (less than 75%, less than 20 people voted), then we can discuss parameters...I was just throwing that out there (as far as the specifics).

I voted yes. Its a nice insurance policy if exercised right.

I voted no, I just don't like to mess with the real life of happenstance. I like how it gives it the real feel of a baseball franchise.

I think there can be logical parameters to this rule. My idea when I was running it with redsfan was logical in that... how often do two great players on the same team in the same season go down with career enders? Does it happen in real life? Not that I immediately know of. In cases like that, I fully support bringing back a player.

Yep, if the commissioner could tool with it on a case by case basis for matters likethat or even if he wants to make a poll on whether all of us thinks teh situation warrants a change, we could do that as well.

    Re: Career Ending Injury Poll

20 people have voted so far (with 9 others not counting myself as I will not vote), but it is not passing as only 60% voted yes...if it is not 75% or higher, then this will be done...voting closes Wednesday.

edit: apparently, scarfire voted and he's not even in this league...I didn't think I had to state that only people in this league should be voting...but I guess I was wrong. Only 19 people have voted then (10 remain) and 11 have passed and 8 have failed (about 58% to 42%).

looks like this is going to fail...there is still some time for a few people to vote...for those that haven't (Puravida, HafDawg2003, BJD2933, Porter, Mission, Witlon, Bernie, and Bwitty)...the other 2 votes would be myself (abstaining) and the open slot for the Reds.

I would have voted No on this. Even though I lost Cortez for his career.
