2011 Predictions

I'm surprised no one made a predictions thread yet...

I think that Baltimore and, to a lesser degree, Pittsburgh will surprise people this season.

I think the Angels are the team to beat in the AL (again).

I expect Mission to bounce back after back-to-back 3rd place finishes (less than .500 last season).

I think the Yankees will have their best record since 2006 and won't finish in last place for the 5th year in a row.

I think my offense won't finish 27th in runs like last season.

I predict St. Louis will the central, and the Cubs, Brewers, and Pittsburgh fight for 2nd through 4th place. I'm guessing the 4th place team is whoever suffers the worse injuries out of the three. Not really much of a prediction, but I figured I'd try to contribute somehow to the thread.

Oh and I'm sure the White Sox with Dam behind the wheel will pull off another beautiful tank job and wind up with 1st overall again. With San Diego cursing the skies because he's just not bad enough by a few games.

San Diego, a second consecutive tank season? No doubt we will not be winning the division this year, but its time to get some fans to notice that this team is no slouch.

In the meantime, 1st overall pick sounds real nifty right now. Perhaps I will trade for it...

Chavez and Beltran will be free agents...I don't know if you consider them significant or not. Chavez will be 34 and Beltran will be 35...I'm sure someone will pay them, but I refuse to pay them salaries similar to their current contracts for another 4 years (which is what it appears they wanted for extensions).
