Getting out of the NL Central would help. I finished in 4th place with an 87-75 record. Not being in such a tough divison probably equals more wins and a playoff spot.

every team in the NL and AL plays each team the same number of times so moving to another division wouldn't equal more wins, but it might put you in a weaker group.

Dumb Luck and there hasnt been any prototypical top of the lineup guys hit the market that didnt get humungo contracts. Jason Romano has more leadoff qualities than all the guys that hit free agency.

Hence the moto of the frachise... if you cant run with them, out slug em.

I intentionally over priced Soriano, but it's 1 year so I could care less. I like him as depth and I might try him at 1B or CF here and there for power/speed purposes.

Joey Gathright improved from a 1.0 to a 2.0 after gaining contact and eye w/o losing too much power and defense...

Shane Lindsey improved from a 1.0 to a 2.0...

Bachelder looks the same, but seems to have helped his control on a 1-100 scale.

I didn't try to do too much with spring training. I'm just happy to have made it through with only a minor league injury. Thompson did improve his stuff a little bit though. Oh yea, Francis got his control back to being filled out.

6-4 sim. The Rookies are looking pretty good so far and Pedro Feliz won the NL Player of the Week Award. I wouldn't expect the latter to last.

I don't know what the hell's going on with my pitching, but Leak, Kassidy, and Salty all had good starts to the season. Hopefully my offense can stay in the top 10 and the pitching will get back to the top 5 staff they were last season.
