Lane will help the fan base in Minnesota. Still has some pop in his bat. Niekro was just a fill in at 3rd till I can trade for one.

Jimenes will serve as backup 2b maybe platoon 2b until Smith's ready and make the team more flexible to trade of the JAGs.

Fernando Cortez will be stashed away at AAA and see if he can do like Cruz did for me last year. Emergency plan if there is a long string of injuries. I was out of MLC offers, so he gets the minimum.

Edgar Gonzalez= Reclaimation project, just turned 27 yrs old, some unreached talent. Got plenty of end to be a starter, will probably see time in the pen at AAA.
