Crap. Obviously wasnt apying enough attention to the playoffs and now Madsons a FA. I must resign him and it gonna cost a mint now. Lucky I have the lowest payroll.
On a good note though, Hamels gained talent and is now back to his super stud talent status.

Dinges was a solid young prospect, great development at 20 and looked useful with 8-7-7 potential. He goes to super stud this offseason, of course though he is also now injured for the whole season, meaning there is a good chance that he'll be much worse than the solid 8-7-7 guy he looked guarantee to develop into last October.

Well, enjoy the Khalil Greene sweepstakes folks.
Tampa will be back with a vengeance to defend its AL East title and reach the promised land!
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
$32.9 mil to spend on extensions and $17.7 mil on FAs when it was at $9 mil and $5 mil respectively at the end of 2009...I love the playoffs.

it's not just because of the playoffs...it also has to do with free agents being processed and the contract extensions you signed...and arby
Oh I know there's other stuff that's got to do with it, but the playoffs helped a lot I'm sure.
So when are we gonna start FA, after you come back the 23rd? (or whenever you come back)

the other stuff has more to do with it than the playoffs...in your case the playoffs allowed you to turn a profit of just under $2 mil. Losing your free agents increases your extension money. Also it's a new year so your TV money is added in again. I'll make an announcement about FA as soon as the teams are all filled...maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow...we should be able to do a round or two before I go away...we'll see.
Sounds good boss.
I assume it also has to do somewhat with fan interest skyrocketing?

fan interest increases your attendance, which increases your revenue
my payroll went down by 16 million from last season and I only lost Ray King and Alex Cora off the major league roster, my team is still together.

you lost more than that:
Ronnie Belliard retires ...
Alex Cora retires ...
Jose Molina retires ...
Matt Clement becomes a free agent.
Ray King becomes a free agent.
Julio Lugo becomes a free agent.
Tomo Ohka becomes a free agent.
Abraham O. Nunez becomes a free agent.
Orlando Cabrera becomes a free agent.
I didn't lose as much as you think I did.
Belliard - AAA
Cora - on playoff roster
Molina - AAA
Clement - Injuried all season
King - was useless from the start but somehow re-gained all of his ratings after he left the team
Lugo - useless during the season, in AAA at the end
Ohka - AAA
Numez - AAA
Cabrera - AAA
All of them were useless during the season.
only two on the World Series championship roster and only one made a difference in King.

I didn't mean they were useful...I was referring to your payroll going down by $16 mil...that losing all of those guys were the reasons...I guess you meant the only quality players you lost were those guys...I thought you were confused as to why the payroll went down by so much when you only lost "2 guys"...
