i wish i could play the yankees 8 times every sim. 8-0 vs them, 0-2 vs baltimore, makes for an 8-2 sim... unfortunately i dont believe i get to see them again this season.
Ho Hum, 7-3 sim.
7-1 vs the AL West. Swept OAK and TEX, took 2 of 3 from ANA. Offense and Pitching are much improved. Hopefully they can keep this going.
Did I fail to mention, Im in 1st Place right now.
6-4 sim, 2 years too soon again.
How do you make a team suck one year and have it win 2 years later? :(
I cant see the site cause teh school blocks it....Damn proxy stopped working too. Anyone know any good Proxies so I can get around the block?
7-3 sim
2-1 vs TBA
2-1 @ TOR
1-1 vs BAL
2-0 vs MIN

Love all the walks my team is taking and the top 10 pitching across the board but the HR are just killing me, only 6 with Jason Varitek getting 3 of them and Ortiz and Wells with 0 each, very disappointing.
For an old man Jason Varitek was a monster early on in the sim then cooled down a lot to end with, 3 HR, 16 RBI, .364 avg, 1.189 OPS
Sorta angry because for some reason, Atlanta's pitching setting was still at 4 men while I had 5 in the rotation.
Rosario didn't waste time reaching his 9 in contact. Well then. Great to see more losses than wins. I might have to start D'Angelo Jimenez too.
SS/3B Santos gained power...now he's a 5.0 SS and 4.5 3B spec. Just needs one more contact and 3 - 4 more power to fill out. He should be ready for next season. 1B Head is pretty much filled out except for his power. 4 of 16 hits have been homers...he only hit 7 homers all of last season at AA and AAA combined. He'll platoon with Vargo next season when Sexson is gone (unless Sexson gets hurt). Helms just moved up to AAA as well...
I'll take a 5 - 5 sim (- 3 Diff) considering Figgins was out for the 1st 5 games.
Batting AVG: .275 (8th)
Homeruns: 11 (11th)
Walks: 26 (T-23rd)
Stolen Bases: 16 (T-6th)

Pitching ERA: 2.94 (4th)
Opponents AVG: .215 (1st)
HRs Allowed: 3 (1st)
Walks Allowed: 31 (18th)
Runs Allowed: 29 (1st)
Our numbers are better than our record, but it was just 10 games. I'd like to walk more and cut down on issuing walks if possible.
precisely my sentiments for cleveland, as well. my team's performence really doesn't echo that of a 4-6 team, but going 1-3 in one run games will hurt you... -2 pyth, and my team hits a ton of homeruns and gives up none... so thats something to build onQuote:

This is a career ending injury for him!!!
he was 25 years old and may have never reached his 9-8-8 talent plateau in time, but at 6-4-7 overall and over 5 months to work on those numbers, i had hope. the suck.
On the flipside, Chase is back to bashin'.
:D Baltimore's offense is wicked scary!!!!
:( Baltimore's pitching is just scary....

Getting pitching from all-around, Carpenter, Beckett, and Lester have been great even though Lester has been on the wrong side of some decisions, his stats are very good. As the 5th starter Matt Clement has yet to start a game.
The batting average and runs scored are easy on the eys right now.
Still dissappointed in the HR totals, should be better with Ortiz and Wells. Stolen bases don't concern me too much right now with this team since no one can steal them anyway.
Monday 4/17/2008: Ortiz and Mauer win Player of the Week award
The Player of the Week award in the American League goes to Boston's David Ortiz this time, as the first baseman displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. He had an on base percentage of .533 and hit .519, while driving in 9 runs. He hit in every game this week and extended his hitting streak to 8 games.
aaron villegas is pretty good.
