    Tejada

The man who should win AL MVP hands down... is on the block.

    Miguel Tejada-SS, 4.5 star rating, DURABLE, 8 10 9 6 7 overall ratings, 31 years old, signed for '08 and '09 @ a very reasonable $12 million per year, 5/6 National Popularity (OUCH!).

Baltimore has payroll problems and will do it's best in the playoffs against the best team in the AL... then Tejada must go to free up space to sign Texeira to an extension.

    Needs:

A speedy, high contact, excellent defense 2B.

A speedy, high contact, excellent defense CF/LF.

    An above average Catcher.

    Pitching, Pitching, Pitching.

I am willing package Tejada with Pettitte or Eaton for very good young players for anyone who made or almost made the playoffs this year and wants a player or two to contend with next season.

it doesn't matter. just ask cincinnati. They lost over $17 mil last year and have negative cash this year, but it hasn't effected them.

I took over in 2010 and never had more than 3 mil to spend on FAs until 2012. Ive also seen gms come in spend big in FA and had to break things up cause after 1 run they are in the red seriously.

Its a perfect example of how long poor finances can affect a team.

It takes contracts into the future into account. IE if you lose like 15 mil but 25 mil is coming off the books b/c free agents and/or retiring players then you wont be affected. But if you only lose 3-4 mil in contracts then it would start limiting the amount you have in FA. Theres some formula to it I dont remember what it is.

    BTW need PM sent.
