Well, I wish I could take back my bid on Duggan. If he was even a 3 in endurance he would have been close to worth his salary. Just my luck he has a 1 endurance. If the draft class isn't straightened out, other GM's will likely make the same mistake I did. I figured Duggan would be an SP and if he was w/ those ratings, 5 mil would be a decent price. Oh well...

Wasn't his endurance listed as a - before?

The very fact he was given any endurance is a victory of sorts.

Well, if a pitcher has a - for endurance, he might not even be able to pitch at all. I've never actually tried a pitcher with a -, but any number would seem to be better off.

It's like, what if a national league team signs one of these pitchers who are suddenly hitters, but that pitcher doesn't actually play a position? Granted, it's O.K. in the AL due to the designated hitter, but a positionless player would indicate he prolly sucks defensively and well. Yeah. Same could be said for a pitcher with no endurance. He throws one pitch, he's tired? Something like that.

Maybe. Honestly, this is THE weirdest glitch or roster patch problem I have ever seen. Mike Hampton, doesn't fit what I said above, is a friggin' gold glove 1B. He's Doug Mient with pitching potential. Kinda awesome actually. In your case, Carlos Perez is a 3B with a cannon arm. Which is crazy, but still cool.

Your right. I just thought his numbers were mixed up with another FA... I was thinking Perez even though Duggan was listed as an RF. I don't blame anyone else. I shouldn't have signed him. I got carried away with trying to compete in the AL East. If I can win, I should be ok. He is a stud against RHP for one inning at least and I have the slim hope of some development since he is only 21.

yea, if you needed pitching at the top of the draft, you kind of got the job

but its an amazingly deep draft for position players... and seeing as I already have six 5 star SP prospects, i'm doing the irish jig at the notion of landing an elite hitter with the 8th pick

I was going to take a hitter even with the last DC, so I'm kinda glad there's less tempting pitching.
