    I would agree with this.

that might be a fair idea and could work in theory, but I can see that easily leading to a flurry of trades afterwards because no one is going to be 100% happy with their teams...so doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of doing it? That's not to say there wouldn't be activity after a fantasy draft or keeping rosters intact. I just think it could be chaos after...

And while a team may get some solid players at the top, they may not have been the players the GM would have wanted and then would be stuck with them...like any of the guys over 40. One can't decided on a specific strategy until after the fact...I may be thinking about doing one thing and then I get stuck with this auto-picked team that could prevent me from doing that altogether.

whatever is decided, I'll deal with, but I think auto-pick may work, but it could also end up being the worst choice.

Perhaps this should have been decided before people picked their teams? That way everyone knew what they were getting into beforehand...

Idea on a draft. Why dont we all keep the teams we drafted and protect 15 players and the rest go into the draft pool. Would work I believe. otherwise the draft will 1 take forever and the computer picking would take the most EXPENSIVE players.

Or we could just go with what would be easiest on the commish and keep the normal rosters. Just use a different roster set though. This one is awful.

I wasn't suggesting it as an idea for this league, just merely saying that we have done it before (as KOZ mentioned that it would be distinct to this league if done.)

And that league had good ideas, I just didn't like the way it was going.

I did a random draft once, it twas a few years back though. I mean it wasnt as bad as everyone makes it seem. I mean I ended up making the 2nd best team int he league until the Commish screwed us. Its not that bad but I still would rather do And 10-20 round draft. And keeper is a terrible idea as I had stated beofre, it just depletes the pool. Should really be 1-2 if its done.

I'm going to have to setup a couple more polls, mostly what ifs, because ..well.. look at the voting. No draft at all is leading, yes. But not by much, and then you consider the original idea of a 20 round draft isn't getting alot of support compared to the other options combined.. I think it does suggest we narrow the options down to

    Keeper
    No Draft
    Complete Auto draft

And then, if keeper wins out, we'll work on deciding a good number to protect. I think it'll be best to consider 1-10 on that, or 1-8, with likely 2-4 being the best way to go to maintain a good draft. But we'll see.

I understand that, but it appears at least one person thought it was a good suggestion and it was a poll option...so I was just stating why I didn't like that option.

... I wasn't confused about your post or it's intentions, I was just merely stating mine.
