    Points Prizes

I'm considering additional "prizes" for earned points. These will be similar to the current "prize" of being able to relocate your team. One idea that I am considering is to allow you to create your own player if you reach a certain number of total points. That is something that other leagues have done, and it is a good incentive. We can also allow you to change the name of any one player in your organization if you reach a certain number of points. What do you guys think of these ideas, and do you have any other ideas? Also... what do you think the point goals should be for these "prizes".

Whatever amount of points I earn, should be enough to form a 10-10-10 SP with good consistency, great clutch, durable, 10 endurance, and a 67% GB ratio

I don't like the create a player idea, but I'm all for the player name change idea. I think I sent you this idea via PM, but I think a great idea for a points reward would be to allow custom created stadiums and/or stadium changes.

The only problem I see with that is that I have had problems creating stadiums in the past. The capacity would always be wrong.

What about importing a historical player of your choice into the draft? You wouldn't necessarily get him, you'd have to work out a deal with the #1 pick. Could be fun.

We could have the "created" player be a imported historical player. The draft idea is an option too, but I don't know how well that would go over since you would have to try to convince another team to trade you their pick. I don't think that would work at all.

Exactly. You wouldn't import say, Honus Wagner, unless you could lock up the #1 overall. Also, first overall picks could go for a bounty, creating an opportunity for cellar-dweller teams to dramatically improve.

Either that, or we could set it up that nobody could select your player. You would be forced to draft him with your first round pick. To take it a step further, he could become the teams "franchise" player, unable to enter free agency. Of course, there'd have to be a set salary for these types ($15M or so?).

I like this option better. This way the team that adds the player isn't adding an extra player. It would cost a 1st round draft pick, but that player would likely be much better than the player they would have drafted. Although, with as many Reds fans as we have here, we may see the Big Red Machine scattered amongst several teams in no time.

We could, but then again, it seems to be working very well so far.

By your rules, you couldn't, since he's already in the league.

Well, the rules would be that there couldn't be any dup players, because that would be too confusing. Also, there couldn't be any players created that debuted later in 1990 or later.
