Seattle-bound Burleson going back home, without a Minnesota match

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns

Seattle put a pair of provisions in the deal that would make it impractical for the Vikings to match.

If Burleson plays at least five games in the state of Minnesota or if his annual salary average is more than the average of his team's highest-paid running back, then the entire $49 million would be guaranteed.
Thats a priceless comeback to the Hutch deal.

I agree, but I believe I would rather have Hutchinson at that price rather than Burleson. Hutchinson is arguably the best OL in the NFL, while Burleson doesn't even rank near the top at WR. Burleson was bothered by injuries last season, I just believe the Seahawks overpaid for him.

But, I do love the "poison pill" the Seahawks threw in the deal to Burleson that if he played more than 5 games in Minnesota then the full amount of his contract would be guaranteed.
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett

No doubt jones is better than hutch. I love this deal, we get a pretty good replacement to Joe, and stick it to the Vikes.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

There's nothing being stuck to the Vikings here. There's plenty of childish stupidity by the Seahawks.

Nevertheless, the Seahawks plan to restructure Burleson down from this deal to a 4 year/14 mil (Reportedly) deal, and the 7 for 49 was just them being stupid towards Minny.

Yeah, "childish stupidity" is definitely what I'd call that Hutchinson deal. Definitely. For sure.
