Missouri to investigate the Quinn Snyder resignation

    http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2337633

This is a good example of why a school president shouldn't get involved in the athletics program. Quinn Snyder is a horrible coach that needed to resign. Why investigate the best thing that happened to the Missouri basketball team in a while.

You are kidding yourself if you really believe Snyder actually quit.

(Even though he is a terrible coach)

because there are procedures that must be followed. its obvious the process broke down somewhere. How can you not think that?

This thing has become such a mess. At first it was stated that Floyd was involved in the conversation that they were going to fire Snyder at the end of the year, but he denies that. This whole thing was handled horribly. Some believe he is part of the reason for the mess and if I remember right, he was involved in the Ricky Clemons situation which really started the downfall to begin with. As far as I'm concerned they need a new president and a new athletic director.

Isn't it, if he resigned, he will not be paid; but if he was fired, he must be paid out his full contract?

its never that simple. He resigned, but only under pressure, and so negotiated a buyout, which is usually done in these cases.
