I'll take that and raise you 20 bucks and a turkey (Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday) that the thrashers finish in or just out of the playoffs (7th-9th) and Kari Lehtonen sets the NHL world on fire and wins the Calder

Damn, guess this is what happens when you move from South Florida to Central Florida. I'm getting the TB game and not the Panthers game tonight. I need to get down to Miami a few times this year to catch some games, tickets should be cheap.

If you think that is the worst con of moving from Miami to Orlando, then something is up.

Who actually gets OLN anyway? Games are going to be hard to catch this year I guess unless you're in your teams viewing area. I wish I got the Panthers, but I'll settle for my 2nd favorite team, the Lightning.

Nathan Horton with the first goal for the Panthers this season. 2 minutes into the 3rd Luongo is pitching a shutout.

It's about damn time that the season started. Even though I'm not a hockey fan, I do listen to the radio and I'm sick of hearing everyone in Montreal discuss the same things over and over for the last year and a half.

I pretty much at radio stations here, I mean during the entire lockout, people call in to talk about what the Habs should do with which players, who should play on what line, which guys should be sent back to the minors etc. and this is while the lockout isn't even settled, and right in the middle of Super Bowl mania. People call in to talk football? Nope, to talk about the same tired Habs topics.

The day before yesterday, the radio guy devoted his entire 4-hr show to blast Bob Gainey for sending Latendresse to the minors. Calls upon calls. Ugh. Sometimes I just hate this city. At least now that the season has started, people will have something fresh to talk about.

I'm fricking pumped. I'm really going to only be able to listen to Avs games this year, but it's something right? 2-2 right now I think.
