Good win over the Thrashers last night, but we've got 2 against the Lightning this weekend, hopefully we can at least split. I'm excited about Horton, but I think we're going to have a lot of the same problems this year that we had 2 years ago. Atlanta got 34 shots on goal, as opposed to our 29. Thank god we have the best goalie in the league. There, I said it.
hey guys, what is the interest level in having an nhlforums to call home?
I'd be down.
Pens game was exciting but could have beena Penguins win if not for Broudors amazing goaltending he was on fire last night and I tip my hat to his performance but he shoulda let that Crosby first shot in :D
Luongo nets back to back shutouts, guy is just nasty. Cats haven't allowed a goal in 2 games, while 3 other teams have only allowed 2, but they've only played one game. New rules seem to be affecting pretty much everyone besides the Panthers and their opponents.
huge win for the Oilers tonight against Vancouver (4-3 in the Shootout), Torres was amazing from the 2nd to the end, 2 PP goals in the game, and a great goal in the shootout, nice going birthday boy and my boy Ales Hemsky with a great shot and goal in the shootout as well.
Ryan Smyth got injuried in the 1st and didn't play the rest of the game though :( , rumoured to be a sprained MCL
Edmonton @ Anahiem tonight :word: - 10:30 pm EST, 9:30 pm PST start
Oilers will be without Ryan Smyth for the recent road trip and could miss a whole month with a sprained MCL, also not playing will be Igor Ulanov and Todd Harvey
Jani Rita will take Smyth's spot in the line up on the 1st line, Alexei Semenov will draw in for Ulanov and big rookie Brad Winchester (6'5 215) will be in for Harvey
Jussi Markkanen will be in net for the Oilers and in 3 career starts against the Ducks, and has a GAA of 0.00
