Oh, you gotta buy this. Sadly, I don't think we'll ever see the same Mike Cameron. The poor guy got multiple fractures of both cheekbones, a broken nose and a slight concussion. He'll start forgetting things such as outs (Just ask Johnny Damon; his collision with Damian Jackson has left him with short term memory loss) and will probably be less aggressive an OFer. Again, this is a sad buy. I just hope he can come back and produce next season.

SELL. Cameron will be alright. A broken nose can be fixed, but fractures in the cheek bone can take a while to heal. If he were to come back and play this season, he may have some tenderness, but he still should be able to play baseball. But, he may be scared of Beltran's head from now on too.

Buy, uh...are you kidding me? Dude just got his grill disfigured. He was lucky he didn't grow a second head like Hasim Rahman. But the physical recovery is only half the story. How do you get over an injury like that mentally? Cameron is going to be thinking twice about running hard 100% on the field everytime a fly ball is between him and another fielder. Do the names Marian Hossa and Bryan Berard ring a bell? Berard took a while to recover from his injury, but Hossa was crushed mentally.

any aftereffects will be mental. Outside the Lines did a piece couple weeks back on how pitchers have to recover from being hit in the head and how their mental state changes. I think the same applies here. Mike may never fully recover. It was an unfortunate accident for him, and i do wish him a speedy recovery. If he comes back and produces the same i think it would be a great accomplishment, but i just don't see that happening.

There are rumors floating around that there are 2 superstars, one from the AL and one from NL tested positive for steroids. Supposedly they are HOF caliber players. BUY OR SELL the rumor to being true. Around the Horn to Redsr.

EDIT: Selig did say there was 2 tests in question on PTI earlier this week.

BUY. Although I do not think that the player will "put baseball on its knees" with the outcome of who it is. But the "AL player to be named later" is supposed to be just that. Dan Patrick reported that both of these players are HOF type players as well. so if you break it down, how many HOF players are definite locks? And also big enough names to change the face of the game? We can all make our own list as to who we believe fit that category. But I definitely think this has been overexagerated a little bit. If it is Sosa, he is not a player that would put baseball on it's knees. And thats just who I think the AL player is. Abd "Big Fish" was a term used by Patrick, could that mean Carlos Delgado? He fits the NL possible HOFer category.

    (hows that)

with these guys starting to get caught, you gotta buy this. The catching of the roids is starting to get better. Wilson Delgado just got caught in the minors for the second time, suspending him for 30 games. Selig went on PTI earlier in the week and stated that they were reviewing a positive test, and sent it in for retesting. Rumors of someone being caught have been circulating around for weeks now. It is starting to become the Salem Witch Trials of MLB, but i mean when you got someone saying that the player in the AL will bring the MLB to its knees, this isn't something you take lightly. Especially when both have either locked or potential HOF status.

This is a black cloud for baseball. If this turns out to be true, I hope Selig will step in and use his Comish's best interest power to instate a better policy. Its getting rediculous to where when you goto games now, you aren't talking about how many hits this guy has or how many stolen bases that guy has, but how his headsize has differed from his 1990 pics or how he's had a sudden jump in HR hitting.

I'm going to have to buy this, simply because of Palmeiro. If Raffy can do it after claiming under oath that he "never used steroids..PERIOD" then anyone can be guilty. And you know who my AL superstar pick is? Paul Konerko. He went from 18 HRs in 2003 to 43 in 2004. My NL pick? Cliff Floyd.
