Thread: Kevin Garnett to Detroit?

    Kevin Garnett to Detroit?

The Toronto Sun is reporting that Kevin Garnett may be headed to the Pistons for Rasheed and Ben Wallace and a couple draft picks.
Don't get too excited, as every team in the league's message boards have kicked around trade rumors involving Garnett all summer. With Flip Saunders in Detroit, this one may have a few more teeth, but don't expect the Wolves to get rid of Garnett. At least not this year.

If KG leaves Minnesota, Kevin McHale would die due to tar and lynching and maybe a stoning.

This would be a really stupid trade for both of the teams. And besides, I highly doubt that Dumars or Mchale would go for this...

It better not happen.. Hell i would be first in line to shoot Mchale (mcFail) he is terrible. Wish he would leave and get someone who can do the job. What a terrible deal that would be. You don't trade your franchise player for that.

You don't trade the best basketball baller on the planet for a pair of veterans on the decline of their career.

    Ben's not in decline yet....
Not that it's a reason to deal KG for him, but he's not declining.

Well if they were getting both the Wallace's I would trade KG. Personally.
Rasheed can put up 20 a night and Big Ben is still a defensive for

BTW KG isnt the best player in the league let alone the planet.

If he isn't the best then he is the second best.

When they trade KG, they better be getting some young players with promise in the deal.

(Yeah that's right, I said when, not if)

Then name me a 7 foot 1 player than can average 20, 13, 6 with a couple of blocks and can play PG if he wanted too.

Yeah, but he has the killer instinct of a white boy.

Kevin is going to get you the numbers, but he will never lead a team to a championship as the man, IMO. He is too passive for his own good. It also doesn't help that the Wolves franchise has been mismanaged around him. From the Joe Smith fiasco to trading for a bunch of selfish ballhogs to the Ebi mispick. Shit just not gone well.

EXACTLY!!! And if he's not the #1 guy on earth, than he's in the top 3. The guy can play every single position and hold his own. His two biggest weaknesses are his bulkieness (can't bang with Shaq, Wallace, Jermaine and a few others very well) and his unwillingness to be selfish at crunch time. He's a DIE hard player who constantly plays with full intensity. He makes the people around him better. Unfortunately, he's unselfish almost to a fault. If I could only have 2 guys to build a team around, he would be one and Duncan would be the other.
