I haven't bought many new ones the past couple years but I still have my two+ boxes full of them.

My best is all 3 of Tony Gwynn's rookie cards.

I also have Brett Favre's Atlanta Falcons card.

Another year or so and I can start "buying" them for my son so my wife doesn't think I'm a bigger dork than she already thinks I am

    Re: Card Collecting?

I just started again in the past few months, mostly through a live break website that's pretty fun. I've landed some pretty rare Manti Te'o auto cards, that guy better become more than just a media story, lol.

I was lucky enough to get a Desmond Trufant auto in a Leaf Draft Box I bought last year. Hoping he'll blossom as well as everyone is projecting him to.

    Re: Card Collecting?

Every once and a while there is a local flea market where there is one guy that sells cards. I'll always chat with him, and get something. Last thing I purchased was a collection of cards to make up the 1989 Montreal Expos.

    Re: Card Collecting?

My dad collected a silly number of cards/packs/boxes for me before I was cognizant. I have like 8 multiple-gallon boxes of cards. Off the top of my head, I have 8 Mark McGwire rookie cards, 3 Griffey Jr. rookie cards and a whole bunch of sets.

    Re: Card Collecting?

I have a bunch of unopen packs, boxes of NFL, MLB, NBA from the early 90s. Some with gum that will disintegrate in your mouths.

You mean that will disintegrate your mouth.
