Buy, this is so easy for one reason......he won a frigging ACC title while coaching at Duke, everywhere he has coached in college he has produced a better record then the season before he took over. He was a 3 time SEC coach of the year and a 2 time coach of the year in the ACC with DUKE. I don't know if you guys can comprehend how hard it is to win football games at Duke. His overall record as a college coach is 142-40-2, he didn't just fall off the turnip truck when it comes to coaching in college and Lou Holtz didn't exactly leave the cupboard bare

Kingdom, finish him.

Buy, at a later date. At least not this season, cause you have to let all the turmoil die out. Steve-o also needs to get a full compliment of his recruits.. or his "people" in there for things to click. He simply has to build his team. He can make South Carolina respectable, but they won't be dominant like Florida.

Finally, Nick Saban has already made one player cry..buy or sell Saban's tough approach working in the NFL. Around the Horn to Ghetto.

I don't think this is worth going, seeing as i'm out again but oh well.
Nick Saban is giving the dolphins what they need...a kick in the ass. HELLO! They pretty much SUCKED last year, and when your quarterback gets sidlined by a SLAP IN THE ASS, they need as much discipline as they can get.
I say feed it to them on a silver platter, more power to saben.
Buy.

Bipster, what are the chances of Saban's approach working? Give me a number, percent-wise.
"Players can't get better over time." -GiantsFanatic
Strong Buy, The only approach in coaching should be a tough approach, I give him a solid 75% chance of this working for him (remaining 25% due to possible freak injuries and other stuff). Saban has already proved that it works in college with winning a national title in LSU and turning around a fledgling Michigan State program. in 26 years of coaching in college (not all as a head coach) he has been a part of 23 winning seasons, he went 48-16 in his stint at LSU. In his time at LSU he produced 21 NFL players, so he knows what he is doing. If for no other reason that you might not think this approach would work I would like you guys to note the coaching tree that he has fallen from......Bill Bellichick, and Bill Parcells

Kingdom, what are the chances of Saban's approach NOT working? I mean, a complete and utter failure?
"Players can't get better over time." -GiantsFanatic
To that degree, slim chance. I'd say 8% chance this thing blows up and Miami re-defines suck. He's going to improve this team, maybe it doesn't take off to soaring heights in his first season, but give him time to get what he wants on the field. That just ain't Feeley, Ferotte or the Spice Guy, Sage Rosenfels cause Miami is mostly a QB away from respectability. Buy Saban working out for Miami.

For next season, the chances of Saban's approach not working is 75%. That's a record of 4-12 for the Dolphins. However, in a few years, the chances of his approach working out is 100%, as he will show he can win the championship at any level of football.
Looks like statboy has a sore spot for being corrected.
