    NHL 2011-2012 NHL Season

Well, no pro basketball. Pretty sure this sport is actually practicing and having a preseason.

I don't have a favorite hockey team and I've never really ever followed the sport but I think I want to start. Hockey is not popular at all out here in Idaho so I don't really know anything about it. So, that being said, who should I root for? Anybody got any suggestions?

BF, jump on the Lightning bandwagon with me.

I'd like to go to another game or two this season.

the Sharks bandwagon has room. It gets real comfy come playoff time.

I couldn't root for anything down in Tampa.. Sorry Toby.

    Sharks aint a bad idea..

How are the Islanders an Rangers? I figure my favorite baseball team is NY maybe I should look into them? Or how about the Nashville Predators?

I literally don't know anything about these teams.. They good? They bad? They decent?

the islanders got a couple nice young players in tavares and okposo. plus youll know who your starting goalie is gonna be for the next 30 years or so in dipietro... unfortunately, he rarely will end the year as your starting goalie.

as for the rangers... they're slightly better at spending money than the knicks, and usually worse than the yankees, but they do it as frequently.

Suit yourself BF, but don't come crying to me when there is no 28th WS to savor over the winter and the Bolts take the cup next June.

Very nice.. How are the divisions and stuff set up? I should already know this.. But I don't. So I may as well learn!

Jump on the Winnipeg Jets bandwagon, it'll pop once everyone realizes they are the former Thrashers.

I expect bigger riots in Vancouver than last year, after their Canucks crash out, 2006-07 Dallas Mavericks style.

I hope it pains Philly fans to see the maligned Booze Brothers (Richards and Carter) on their way to the Cup as much it pained Dodger fans to see Pricktorino and Werthless haunt their former team en route to the World Series.
