    Rumor: Kwame to Lakers

    Link

How great would it be for the player that Michael Jordan destroyed, for Kobe Bryant to be the person that made him fulfill his potential? That would be tremendous. Washington would get Caron Butler and Chucky Atkins if this trade goes down.

I really like what Los Angeles is doing this off-season. Now all they need to do is go out and sign Antonio Daniels. I loved the Bynum draft pick, and if Phil can get Kwame to fulfill his potential, then this was a great trade. If not, then oh well, Caron Butler type SF's come a dime a dozen in this league so it's not a huge loss.

Can someone tell me the last 3 big men who left Washington who turned out to be stars? Will give rep.

    Ben Wallace
    Juan Howard to a degree
    Rasheed Wallace

EDIT: I refuse to say Chris Webber.

From what I see on the NFLforums, LA fans are bashing this trade. I'm not sure I like it either. Lakers trade a proven scoring option for a notorious bust big man. NBA reporters said the same thing about how Olowokandi would benefit from a change in scenery.

Stupid idea by the Lakers in my mind. IF Kwame does get better then it will look good, but he won't help the Lakers win a championship anytime too soon.

Kandi is a bum, Kwame has raw talent you can't teach. If he fulfills it, then they will be contenders once again. If he doesn't, he is on a reasonable 2 year contract where they can release him when he's done. Another thing is this lets Lamar Odom to slide back to his natural position with is SF. I have a feeling that Kwame won't bust, though, I think Phil is going to get the most out of him. Should be interesting, though.

Most Laker fans over-rate Caron Butler.

Kandi can be exiled to Cambodia. Maybe he can get a double double then. Id take Kwame Brown. but for Caron Butler, hes a damn good player and i wouldnt deal him. Id try to keep him and go with...

    Brown
    Kobe
    Odom
    Butler
    Bynum

Butler is useless in an offense with Kobe Bryant, it would be a good deal for the Lakers.

Only a suggestion, I personally wished the Lakers would go 0-82 every season.

I used to hate the Lakers, too, but with Shaq gone, Kobe being one of my favorites, and then they draft Bynum and trade for Kwame (both good moves), I am starting to like them more and more.

I would disagree tha drafting Bynum is a good move. He's a teenager with a serious weight problem. If he ever does become even good, it will be years after Phil Jackson has left coaching and started stealing the team from Jerry Buss.

I never said he was. I was referencing to Sheed, Big Ben, and CWebb. It's a pattern.

I should have quoted porter on that. Not even to a degree, he's been a waste!
