    NHL NHL playoffs

We do these picks every year, right? Let's see how wrong these turn out to be:

    First round
    1) Washington over 8) NY Rangers in 5
    2) Philadelphia over 7) Buffalo in 6
    6) Montreal over 3) Boston in 6
    4) Pittsburgh over 5) Tampa in 6

    1) Vancouver over 8) Chicago in 4
    7) LA Kings over 2) San Jose in 7
    3) Detroit over 6) Phoenix in 4
    5) Nashville over 4) Anaheim in 5

    Conference semis
    1) Washington over 6) Montreal in 5
    2) Philadelphia over 4) Pittsburgh in 7

    1) Vancouver over 7) LA Kings in 5
    3) Detroit over 5) Nashville in 6

    Conference finals
    1) Washington over 2) Philadelphia in 5
    1) Vancouver over 3) Detroit in 6

    Stanley Cup finals
    1) Vancouver over 1) Washington in 5

I know how much realmofotalk wants a Ducks-Kings matchup in the Western Conference finals. Or at any point. Can't see it happening.

What an epic choke job by the Kings. If they haven't already, fans will be throwing themselves off the roof of the Staples Center if the Lakers lose tonight to go down 0-2 to the Hornets.

Rats, only went 6/8 with my picks. I took the chic upset pick Montreal and went out on a limb with Phoenix. Which probably means your Stanley Cup Final will be Detroit vs. Boston.

Yeah, Detroit looked good in the first round. And those old guys are only gonna get better now that it appears that Zetterburg and Franz will be back.

    Re: NHL playoffs

Penguins fan. Disappointed by their implosion in three games. Yes, it was an implosion. Failed power plays. Failure to adjust in a coaching and roster sense. Just an abortion.

A likely fifty page breakdown will be spared on you guys I'm afraid..as this isn't really a crowd who would get into such lengthy hockey discussion.

Even with the additions of Malkin and Crosby back to the lineup next season, I still think this team needs another winger. A lot of turnover with the roster, mostly for the better this offseason. Want to see them sign a #5 stay at home d man that doesn't make me pucker my asshole and hold my breath the way Niskanen and Lovejoy do when this bottom pairing steps out on the ice (and takes their shirts off. Bam).

Right now I'm rooting for any team but Washington and Philly. Fuck them. I'll even root for Tampa and Montreal (the last two teams to knock the Pens out) before them. Aw fuck it. Go Western Conference.
