    FAT EDDY!

I don't know, call me a biased Syracuse fan if you want, but I watched a lot of Big East baseball this season and I just don't like Lance Stephenson that much. He hit some big shots, yes, but he generally has no jump shot, was not as much of a scorer as expected, and I don't know how well he's actually going to fit in.
Apparently Ryan Wittman is in camp though, there's a guy who can shoot the lights out and could grab one of the last roster spots.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Realistically, what will the Cavs do? They do have some cap to play with and an owner willing to spend it. But Cleveland wasn't a top free agent destination when James was there, let alone when he is gone.

Memo to Dan Gilbert: You won't win a title with that HUGE hole in your starting 5. Quit playing the part of a jilted lover and go out and get someone to play small foward

Miami Heat - Team Report - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
After it originally was believed the Heat wouldn't need to give anything to Cleveland or Toronto, it was reported July 9 that both had become sign-and-trade deals instead. Miami sent two first-round and two second-round picks to Cleveland for James, two first-rounders to Toronto for Bosh and signed James and Bosh to matching six-year, $110 million contracts. Wade got six years and $107.5 million.

The thing about the draft picks is if the Heat are in the playoffs every year, those picks will be late 1st and 2nd round picks, so they really don't help the team a whole lot unless it is a deep draft. What is more important is that both Cleveland and Toronto got what is called a 'trade exception' which is worth $14.5 mill, which means they can offer a contract to a player that would be for that much per season.

James is locked up for six? Damn, I didn't see the Heat getting that sixth year from him.

Still a shitty move, but at least Cleveland gets some first rounders they can use to make some trades or keep.

Re: NBA Free Agents: Where are they going?

Derek Fisher came down to Miami to talk to the Heat and LeBron met him at the airport. Please don't give in Fish...go back to the Lakers. I can't believe I'm openly rooting for the Lakers here, but that's what it's come down to. At any rate, as old he is if Miami could snag Fisher it's still a worthwhile move. Yes, he gets torn apart by quick point guards but he's not afraid to take and hit big shots, he's steady, he's got 5 championships, he's a guy that would fit in perfectly with the Heat. The type of role player they need to surround the stars with.

They got a pack of Corona and condoms for Lebron James. I guess that's better than nothing.

The Knicks last night were on the verge of signing 7-foot-1 Russian free-agent center Timofey Mozgov, according to a source. The anticipated three-year, $9 million deal would eat up the rest of their cap space.

Jordan Farmar to the Nets. He couldn't wrestle the starting job from the aging Derek Fisher so he is taking his chances as a back up to Devin Harris. Huh?

Hedo Turkoglu to Phoenix for Barbosa, then Toronto is swinging the immortal Dwayne Jones to Charlotte for Boris Diaw. Suns also acquiring Childressssssssss, and not Brad.
