Like football, Baseball is not much of a world sport. US, Japan and Mexico are the prominant countries, followed by certain South and Central American countries. Not exactly "global".

Out of the replacements it would be most interesting to see Rugby, and then Karate. The replacements aren't too great themselves. Baseball should've stayed in the olympics, and softball should've been outed only.
