So far down 4-2, near the end of the 2nd period. Jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but Ottawa has since taken control of the game and is exposing both the Penguin defense and, more specifically, Marc Andre Fleury. Fleury is looking horrible today. In fact, most of the team whose name isn't Malkin or Crosby have yet to realize the playoffs have started. This would be a horrible start to the series if the Penguins fail to win the first game.

With a little over two minutes left, Ottawa gets called for too many men on the ice. The Penguins abruptly show the world what a passive, ugly power play looks like. End of the 2nd, Senators 4, Penguins 2.

This game is honestly angering me right now.

At least we finished strongly. If not for Fleury's general terribleness, we'd probably have won. Definitely a bad start to the series, but it's a long one and we have more than enough firepower to overcome this. Crosby and Malkin were very good tonight, but their supporting cast was only average. And normally that'd be alright. Not too worried, yet.

I agree. And I am not too concerned about Fleury, as he can have these games where he is just schooled time after time. Hopefully though the Pens didn't come into the series underestimating the Senators though, because at times, it certainly looked like it.

Good effort overall. Wasn't a comfortable game, but one that the Pens controlled the whole way through. Crosby had another great game, and Fluery was pretty good, early goal notwithstanding. Had to win that and even the series up. Feel pretty good about it. Hope Leopold is alright after that nasty hit. Now, on to Canada!

Crosby is amazing. Whole team was awesome tonight. Definitely made a couple of mistakes, but we were clicking. Looking good, especially if Philadelphia can hang on and beat the Devils so that we get Boston/Buffalo. We are looking great.

I have to give it to the Sens though, they made this game a lot more interesting than it seemed like it was shaping up at first.
