I feel bad for my Sens. We've done decent in the regular season holding Crosby and the Pens in check. But that will change once again this season in the playoff's. We'll be beat, but I still hold out hope for some sort of miracle. Elliott will have to stand on his head, and than some, but he may pull a rabbit out of the hat. That and our leading scorer Mike "Mr Carrie Underwood" Fisher shouldn't be our leading scorer in the playoff's. "Giggles" Spezza has been great of late, and I hope that continues into the season. Alfie should be good to go for the playoffs too, he'll step it up. We won't miss Kovalev, cause he hasn't shown up in 82 games, why would the playoffs matter to him now.

    Caps in 6
    Devils in 5
    Buffalo in 7
    Pens in 5

    Sharks in 4
    Hawks in 6
    Kings in 7
    Wings in 5

no flames in the playoffs so no 1st round choke job from them this year

who has the worst goaltending in the playoffs, Flyers or Sens?

when is Luongo going to choke, 1st or 2nd round?

can the sharks finally get passed the 2nd round since 04?

I don't really see any huge upsets. Pretty much in line with what DK is thinking. I do think Philly will go a bit further than some are thinking, despite their obvious flaws (like a lack of a true top line scorer), I've seen that team time after time frustrate other teams.

Re: Natinal Hockey League postseason picks

    Eastern Conference:
    (1) Washington over (8) Montreal in 4 - Blowout, huge mismatch. I was hoping the Flyers would have the #8 seed and beat up on the Kapitals a bit, but we couldn't get that lucky.
    (2) New Jersey over (7) Philadelphia in 7 - I'd really like to pick Philly, especially since they won the season series something like 5-1. But Brodeur seems to be playing really well lately and Kovalchuk and Parise should provide enough offense.
    (3) Buffalo over (6) Boston in 6 - About the least attractive matchup in the playoffs. Blah. Ryan Miller gets it done.
    (4) Pittsburgh over (5) Ottawa in 6 - Penguins offense is just too much here. I'm a little concerned about Malkin, and really the team as a whole, as they haven't hit their stride like they did last year. Still, the experience and talent get the job done.

    Western Conference:
    (1) San Jose over (8) Colorado in 6 - This is too early for the Sharks to collapse. They win without too much trouble.
    (2) Chicago over (7) Nashville in 5 - Big mismatch, Chicago should have no trouble.
    (6) Los Angeles over (3) Vancouver in 7 - I think the Kings have what it takes to get it done. Luongo hasn't been playing all that well, and Los Angeles will have a great chance if they can win one of the first two road games.
    (5) Detroit over (4) Phoenix in 6 - It's Detroit. In the playoffs. Phoenix is a nice story, but they're not beating the 58-time defending Western Conference Champions.

Yeah, it would've been much more awesome if the Habs could've hung on. Oh well..

OMG, the San Jose Sharks are so full of fail in playoffs. As if it isn't already an embarrassment for a squad featuring Thornton, Marleau, and Heatley to be blanked by freaking Craig Anderson, they go and score an own goal in overtime FTL?
