Re: NBA Random Blah Blah Blah's Thread
I've just now taken a look at the draft results. It appears teams have largely avoided big men projects this year. What also grabbed my attention was Greivis Vasquez and Andy Rautins getting picked ahead of Lance Stephenson
Re: NBA Random Blah Blah Blah's Thread
Character concerns actually matter still, surprisingly. I didn't see Rautins on any mocks, that was cool.
Re: NBA Random Blah Blah Blah's Thread
Here's to the Lakers picking Ebanks. I might..actually.. .001% like the lakers if he makes the team.
Re: NBA Random Blah Blah Blah's Thread
The Celtics just took Luke Harangody of the Fighting Irish. I can't help but be amused by that.

Re: NBA Random Blah Blah Blah's Thread
And the Bulls screwed themselves if they can't get LeBron and another max guy...

As a Canadian he has no character, unless he's had about 3 beer.

Frank McCourt approves this strategy.
Re: NBA Random Blah Blah Blah's Thread
Frank McWalsh!
Rautins could be the poor man's Redick, hammer! I bet that excites you to no end!
Re: NBA Random Blah Blah Blah for 2010-2011
Alright, Dan Gilbert says the Cavs will win a title before Lebron's new team. Sure he's emotional, pissed off, angry, etc. but really, that's a bold claim when your best trio of players are Varajao-Jamison-Mo Williams. So what is the plan now? It seems highly unlikely any great player would want to come to Cleveland, but I guess anything is possible. If you are running the cavaliers, do you immediately try to rebuild and reload, possibly "tank" and hope for a nice pick? Harrison Barnes next draft? ...Seems to be such a tough spot now, for the Cavs.
Okay, over/under game:
Cavaliers win 42 games this season (putting them around the 7th or 8th seed)
Heat win 55 games this season (contention for a #1 seed)
Go.

As a Syracuse fan, I am excited about Rautins contributing. Call me a homer but he will at least have a place on the roster as a role player, he can shoot, he's a good defender, makes some great passes though some questionable ones, and works his ass off every day. I'm not saying he's more than a poor man's Redick but he's not useless. Fields I have no hope for though.

Cavs 38, under
Heat 61, over

I want to see who exactly the Heat bring in as role players. You're not going to win with the 3 amigos, DeSean Butler, and a bunch of crap in the playoffs. I also want to see what Gilbert calls "reloading".
