Not like any other fantasy football pick 'em, oh no, never anything normal. Each week, there will be 11 match ups where you pick the winner, and it will be a combination of college and NFL games.
Ok, that sounds basic, yeah, it is. The difference comes down to how you score points. Much like NABSAR, where you finish is how much you pick up points wise.
1st Place = 20 points + # of correct picks
2nd Place = 15 points + # of correct picks
3rd Place = 10 points + # of correct picks
4th Place and Beyond = 5 points + # of correct picks
Last Place = No bonus, just correct # of picks
The catch will be how many people participate. If only 3 people participate, third place is actually last place, therefore you would get no bonus.
To determine tie breakers, on the 11th match up, you list the total points that will be scored in that game. Hey, it's a simple tie breaker.
Not to say this is just another mindless game, winner will get paid membership to the La Revolution on here (or choose to just take the cash).
Oh yeah, there's a couple more catches you need to be aware of, that could make things that much more interesting:
1. After every four weeks, we will have a wager points week where you have to bet up to the total amount of points you have accumulated before I list the match ups. Let's say you wagered 40 points, and won that week, you get an additional 40 points. Only the top 3 places will get the wager bonus. Everyone else will lose that amount if they do not place in the top 3. But again, if only 3 people participate that week, who ever finishes 3rd, doesn't get the bonus. So paarrrrrticipate.
2. If you managed to not pick a single game right for any week, you are eliminated from the contest. Call it being voted off the island, or singled out as the weakest link, or whatever.
I will post the first week list of games later tonight.
