Thumbs Up NBA Draft and Trades

Jamal Crawford will be traded to the Atlanta Hawks. The Warriors will get Acie Law and Speedy Claxton. Too soon to call Acie Law a bust?

Has Law even played? His official position might be IR or DNP.

I only like this deal for the hawks if they resign Bibby, then Crawford can be the 6th man gunner that Childress was a couple of years ago. Warriors didn't need Crawford either, it works for them. Of Course Nellie will probably draft another guard.

I doubt the Hawks will be paying Jamal Crawford his $19 million over two years for him to be Joe Johnson's backup.

By the way, the Celtics truly care about town pride, they should get Jeff Adrien. A native Boston (Brookline) player, at last! Then Boston could really distance itself from Toronto for least amount of native pro athletes.

    A Speedy Claxton signing!
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

It has epic fail written all over it for Cleveland. It's one thing to acquire Shaq at the trade deadline to help put your team over the top. It's another thing to get him when your team is starting over with a full 82 game season, and you need him to grind through it again.

Yeah, but it's not like giving up Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic is risking too much...

No but it's them thinking Shaq puts them over the top, when that doesn't happen, Cleveland fans collectively hang themselves and Danny Ferry.

If they don't resign Bibby, it seems likely he will start and that won't be such an issue since Johnson can play some point. But if they do and they should resign him, do you think they'll play Crawford at SF? They're already small as is with a SF at PF and a PF at C.

Yeah, but even if it doesn't, there's really no harm done. Shaq's contract ends after this season (I believe), so it's not like they'd be stuck with him after Lebron leaves....it's a one year thing, and once (if) Lebron leaves, Shaq won't be back either.....

No, they've invested in Marvin Williams at SF. Crawford will play when they go with a three guard lineup, assuming they re-sign Bibby.

We all know Danny Ainge will do something big tonight? Anybody got an idea what it might be... I think Rondo could be shipped to MIN for #6 and another player?

Jonny Flynn to the Knicks anybody? Keep him in blue and orange!

Honestly, I think it's a possibility. If Curry and Hill are gone, I truly think the Knicks will pick Flynn, his willingness to run will work with D'Antoni, and he's already a fan fave at MSG...

Then he comes off the bench unless they're getting rid of Josh Smith

    \

When Shaq avgs 17 and 9 per game, which is higher than big Z and tinky V did last year, this trade makes sense.
