I'm not even a Rangers fan, so that wasn't a homer pick at all.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

That was the equivalent of hockey porn basically.

Oh and the Penguins game was incredible today. Mid-air knock-in goals, momentum changing fight, the Philly fans going home in near tears... can't beat it. Great job Pens.

Best subplot to watch for will be what the Washington fans do to heckle Tortorella in his first game back from the suspension. He'll need to contain himself and no go all Ron Artest on everyone again.

What, you're going to make new picks at the end of every round?

Haha, no sorry the Bruins bandwagon has left, no S3F allowed , plus you can only jinx 1 team per playoffs.

    (2) Washington over (7) New York Rangers in 6 games- not enough firepower to take out WSH

    (6) Carolina over (3) New Jersey in 6 games - Carolina is very hot, and will be a tough out for anyone, NJ can't score enough goals to stay with Carolina

    (5) Philadelphia over (4) Pittsburgh in 6 games - Philadelphia steals game 2 in Pittsburgh and holds serve at home... but if they lose 1 at home, Pittsburgh takes the series in 7 games.

    West

    (1) San Jose over (8) Anaheim in 7 games - Home ice holds in this series

    (7) Columbus over (2) Detroit in 5 games - Detroit is colder than the weather in Alaska, Columbus has the better goaltending and wins the series easily.

    (3) Vancouver over (6) St. Louis in 7 games - Don't bet against Luongo, especially when they have home ice.

    (4) Chicago over (5) Calgary in 7 games - Chicago holds at home due to amazing fan support
5/8... kinda pathetic, but that just means its time to step up my game in round 2 although my analysis of the WSH/NYR series proved true.

    Round 2:

    East:

    (1) Boston over (6) Carolina in 5 games- Boston swept Carolina in the regular season 4-0-0 and is playing some great hockey right now, Carolina is a gritty team and can beat non-physical teams but that style won't work against the Bruins

    (4) Pittsburgh over (2) Washington in 6 games- I know I picked against them in the 1st round and that was probably a mistake, but I'm fixing it now, they have good offensive firepower and I'm not sold that the WSH rookie salvation at goalie in these playoffs can handle a team that actually knows how to score goals.

    West:

    (8) Anaheim over (2) Detroit in 6 games - I wasn't sold on the Wings in Round 1 but it was clear that the Blue Jackets players/fans were just content with making the playoffs however in this round they will face a very hot Anaheim team that has the hottest goalie in the West in Hiller, he's been unbelievable these last 2 months and I still have questions about the Red Wings in net (And game 4 of the Jackets series on confirmed these doubts)

    (3) Vancouver over (4) Chicago in 6 games- Luongo is just too good in the playoffs, although these teams split in the regular season, Vancouver destroyed Chicaog 4-0 in their meeting during this current Canucks hot streak. I look for Chicago to get a home win or 2 but in the end Luongo is just too good to bet against.
