Billy Gillispie out as Kentucky basketball coach

Gillispie arrived at UK with four conference Coach of the Year awards and a reputation as a hard-nosed grinder who overachieved. He leaves with a two-year record of 40-27 record, no NCAA Tournament wins and without an SEC title of any kind.

If an overachiever couldn't get the job done, who can?

As someone who lives in KY, people are going apeshit...in the good way. They take their UK basketball religiously and the rumors are already starting to fly. I find it hilarious being a U of L fan myself. They already had hundreds of for sale signs in his yard when they found out they weren't going to the NCAA tourney. Just like they did to Tubby inhis last year.

What a piece of tv news trash. Its one thing to ask him as he comes in about it and get the "No Comment" or "Im on the phone" but to chase him asking him over and over and over again, to the point that Gillispie felt he needed to RUN thats pure bull ****. Alan Cutler should be fired and never allowed to show his rat face on tv again. But he'll probably get some award for "groundbreaking work" and a pay raise cause Heaven Forbid that TV News actually cared about what the people think.

Needless to say I would not have been as kind as Gillispie. That camera wouldnt have been in one piece and Cutler probably be out flat on his *** with a warning to leave me alone. Needless to say I dont think I'd last very long at a position like UK in Bball or Alabama in Football.
