Just think if the Suns hadn't sold their 7th overall pick in 2004 to offset the cost of signing Quentin Richardson and if they hadn't traded Joe Johnson for Diaw and two picks to select Robin Lopez and Rudy Fernandez (sold to Portland). A six man rotation of Nash, Johnson, Deng/Iguodala, Marion, Amare, and Barbosa.

Oh, right, it was one of the Hawks' picks. They sold Rondo for the Rudy Fernandez pick, which they then sold for cash. Even so, Rondo means no Joe Johnson.

I'm thinking if the suns had resigned Johnson, never went the Shaq route, and maybe instead of drafting Iguodala or DANG!, maybe a spunky power forward type that fits the system (i.e. not Robin Lopez) instead to rotate with Amare upfront, they'd still be winning 55-60 games and New York would have Avery Johnson or some crap as coach.

    DANG! sucks fwiw.

Damn. Crazy game right there. The Knicks were up by 15 with about 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter, Dwyane Wade got bloodied from an elbow to the mouth by Gallinari which pissed him off and the Heat proceeded to go on this ridiculous 19-0 scoring run with Wade being absolutely possessed. Heat win by 5, Knicks choke.

That owner is too cheap. Would never happen.

By the way.. does Shaq like ANYBODY? This week, he has gone after Dwight Howard, Dwayne Wade, and now.. Stan Van Gundy.

Responding to Van Gundy’s reaction about O’Neal’s tactics against Howard on Tuesday night, the Phoenix center lashed out at his former coach with the Miami Heat, calling him “a master of panic” and “a frontrunner.”

“One thing I really despise is a frontrunner,” O’Neal said before the Suns played the Heat, Shaq’s first time back in Miami since last season’s trade. “I know for a fact he’s a master of panic and when it gets time for his team to go into the postseason and do certain things, he will let them down because of his panic. I’ve been there before. I’ve played for him.”

“Flopping is playing like that your whole career,” O’Neal said. “I was trying to take a charge, trying to get a call. Yeah, it probably was a flop, but flopping is wrong. Flopping would describe his coaching.”

Doc Rivers ran out a late 4th quarter lineup of Eddie House, Rajon Rondo, Stephon Marbury, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. Quite possibly the smallest lineup in the history of basketball.

And it was an epic fail. Make a ****ing stop on defense!!!!!!

Oh but you can't. You're all too small.

    Re: Official 08-09 NBA Thread

Guards T.J. Ford and Jarrett Jack had to be separated during a third-quarter timeout in Friday's loss to the Mavericks.
They started arguing on the court after Ford took three straight shots and were then separated by teammates and coaches during the timeout.
Shocking! Animosity between point guards on a team with T.J. Ford!

What was weird, however, was that even though Jarrett Jack was the one who got benched in the second half of Friday's game, he gets the start tonight and goes off for 31, while T.J. Ford has to come off the bench.
