A big majority of them, yes. Pennington is 19th amongst active QBs in TD's. He's definitely not throwing the ball deep. He's a mediocre QB.

Chad is and always has been a good QB when healthy, his problem has always been durability. Chad was an elite QB before the 2 shoulder surgeries but now he's just good to very good. What he is doing w/ that dolphin team is pretty amazing. Everyone points out Brown and Ricky as the reasons but people don't realize they haven't been good this year outside of a game or 2 and that Chad has awful WRs to throw to yet he's putting up points and Miami has already tripled their win total from a year before we hit the midway mark.

Yes, it is a problem, and nobody here is arguing against that assessment.

But....he's healthy right now and, therefore, a good asset. That's what's being put into question by others.

Pennington is a good QB who won't kill you - you can definitely make the playoffs with him - but you not a lot more if you want to make a Super Bowl with him

A year ago at this time did any sane fan think a team could win a SB w/ Eli Manning? If Doug Brien makes 1 of 2 makeable kicks in the '04 divisional playoffs Chad has us in the AFC Title Game and w/ a torn rotator cuff.

If you can win a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer you most certainly can win one with Chad Pennington.

They probably wouldn't have but in 1985 no one thought NE could beat Miami and they did. Last year not many people thought the Giants could beat GB and they did, no one agve NE a chance in '01 at Pitt and they beat them. Upsets happen, we lost a 6 pt game at NE earlier in the year and would have won if McCareins held onto a TD pass late and while NE owns us in the meadowlands we always play them well in NE where we had beaten them in '01 and ''02 at NE and lost a close game in '03 w/ Chad hurt and a very close game in '04 so you never know.
