    NHL Uninspiring NHL coaching hire of the month

    Yes, I'm labeling it as a monthly occurrence, because NHL teams still hire and fire coaches in the middle of July.

    The news here is the Kings have hired Terry Murray, brother of Brian. I'm guessing that Terry Murray was hired because he isn't one to scream at his players, which was why the previous head coach was fired. Well, for that and losing and his endless love for Dan Cloutier.

    Enjoy Hartsburg. He wasn't very good for Anaheim.

    But since I bumped this, I'm awarding the award for this month to the guy that the New York Islanders just hired, Scott Gordon, coach of the year in the AHL. Trust the Gordon's fishermen.

    Ummmm, I think the entire NHL has lost love for Cloutier. His career went downhill in the Playoff's for Vancouver.

    Wouldn't last 2 hours, by NHL standards. Scott Linehan would have been hired and then fired on the spot.

    What about Mike Singletary?

    I really wouldn't blame them either. He could be a mean player-coach. Imagine the fear hed put into fools.
