Ivanovic has indeed been playing some great tennis.
There are a lot of great females around though, so there could be some great match's this tournament. It's a great time to be a tennis fan IMO, so many possibilities.

Sharapova was coming off of injury and i do like her play on grass. but Venus Williams plays this tourney almost like Nadal plays the French or any clay court tourney.

Blown away on grass by my boy Safin, his worst surface and he's been on the decline for three years now. What a win.
Sharapova is in trouble. She lost the first set to someone with the last name of Kudryavtseva 6-2 and is in a dog fight in set two 4-4.
Sharapova done!!!!!!! Beating in the 2nd Round by little know Russian Alla Kudryavtseva 6-2, 6-4.
wow, how NOT surprising. She almost lost to that American at the French. She needs to focus on being a tennis champion again not a powershot spokeswoman. She clearly can't handle both.
And her little dog is annoying.
Ivanovic smacked in the first set, 6-1
Bethanie Mattek!!! USA
James Blake needs to go back to being the bengals and saints backup QB, Tennis ain't workin' out too well.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

So we have the quarters set. And man is it ever shaping up to be quite the tournament, that is if you like upsets. None of the top 4 on the women's side make it into the quarters, and the mens side has very few top seeds, but they do have #1 and #2 on a crash course.
And how about Andy Murray. All of England is behind you buddy. Watching the end of the match got me pumped for tennis. He was down and out, yet pulled through. I know Henman is now doing play-by-play for BBC, but I woud have loved to hear him do that match.
Murray would be a great story. He has Nadal next and although I think Raffa will win the match if Murray gets the lead and the crowd behind him then anything could happen. Federer really looks to have a much easier way to the Final.
It could also be an all Williams Woman final. I will stick with my original pick of Serena on the womens side.
So a day off work, and I got to watch some tennis live, but still on T.V.
And at the moment I don't see anything in the way of the all Williams final. The sisters showed some mastery of the grass court game today. How do you pick between the two of them is beyond me.
I still stick with Venus Williams. She is to Wimbeldon as Nadal is to the French Open. It fits her style of game more than Serena (who's best tourney is the US or Australian)
