Jason Kidd Traded to the Mavs.

Kidd traded to Dallas in latest blockbuster deal - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

Jason Kidd was dealt to Dallas for Stackhouse, Devin Harris, Diop, 2 1st round picks, $3 million in cash and Maurice Ager.

And for boot they made a side deal with Dallas.

Good trade for both teams...all these blockbuster trades are making up for last season's horrific deadline.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Yeah I guess it's a pretty good trade. Better than that O'Neil trade...I'm still a bit baffled by that one.

Showtime in the 80's had 40 yr old Kareem Adbul-Jabbar. The deal will make sense, Shaq is a great passer and can start breaks when he gets rebounds. His health is a major issue. But this deal makes some sense, and we all know Marion didn't want to stay in Phoenix.

I suppose...Shaq is still a good passer like you said but he's nearing the end of his career and he's starting to fade. With all this young(er) talent now in the NBA I think it'll just get harder and harder for him to keep up. But yeah atleast marion isn't with the Suns anymore.

Shaq doesnt have the carry the load on this team. Unlike Miami where it was just him and Wade. I think this with prolong his career for a year or two. Also, as long as Johan Petro/Kurt Thomas can have starting spots in the L. He can stick around.

The deal is on hold because Devan freaking George is invoking his no trade clause. You don't even play in their rotation, stop being god damn selfish.

If you were Devean George, you'd do the same thing. New Jersey or Dallas... hmm, easy decision!

This actually hurts Jerry Stackhouse, because the Nets were going to buy him out, allowing him to be a free agent. His plan was to re-sign with the Mavs 30 days after getting bought out, enabling him to return to Dallas and still get paid, and even get a month-long vacation.

Sit on the bench in Dallas or get PT and somewhat noticed in New Jersey.

This tell you how much Devan George matters. I still thought he was a freaking Laker.

He's actually been playing 25 min/game the last 6 games with Dallas and even got two starts (with another one tonight likely).

With all that hes up to a groundbreaking 14 minutes a game.

We are talking about a guy blocking a trade with a MVP like 3.8 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 0.6 APG and shooting a bricklaying 36.6 percent from the field.

Devean would rather sit on the bench in Dallas than have nothing to play for in New Jersey. Devean got rights.

Dallas will let him go after the season anyway. why sit on the bench.

Re: Jason Kidd Traded to the Mavs.

In addition to Devean George stopping the Jason Kidd trade, comments made by Jerry Stackhouse could also prevent the deal from happening.
The league will investigate whether NBA rules were violated with a prearranged agreement for Stack to return to Dallas after being bought out by the Nets and sitting out the 30-day waiting period, sources said. The league will consider forbidding Stackhouse to re-sign with the Mavericks as punishment for the comments he made on Wednesday, when he said that he was going to have a 30-day "rest" and then re-sign with Dallas. And word on the street is that the Mavs won't do the trade if they can't keep Stackhouse. Stay tuned. Feb. 15 - 11:32 am et

It would have been a great trade for the Nets but george and Stackhouse have ruined it.
